Eleven Years, Almost

In a few weeks, it will be the 11th Birthday of this blog. I just posted a late night ramble, and was looking at my Category counts as I viewed the published post:

It kinda blew my mind that I have written about 73 scenes, but I remember when I first started this. At the time, I was scening three or four times a week. A number that seems crazy now (especially Now, when I’d be happy just to hug my partners). I’m also amused that 30 Days of Kink took 32 posts, while 31 Days of Gratitude only 22. I checked, there were a lot of double-day posts on the latter. Lots of Communication and Reflection posts, as one might expect from a growing kinkster and poly girl. With those things, S&M, Poly, and D/s right behind. This post itself will be post 598. I’m thinking I should try and make post 600 my actual 11th anniversary post for the blog, Just for round number sake. Today, I’m just rambling about numbers because it entertained me.

I’m working on getting back into my writing habit. Reading Felicia Day’s book Embrace Your Weird. We’ll working my way through it, really, it’s more of a workbook than a reading book. It’s really great if you’re feeling stuck in a mire of your creative juices. Just pushes you to do things, even badly, and to believe in yourself and your weirdness and your creativity. I listened to it on audio, but really, this is a book you’ve got to sit down with and work through, so I got a physical copy, as well.

Anyway. All this to say, my few readers who remain, I’m back in this. I’m going to work on getting back to regular postings, probably on weekends, but no promises I can’t keep. Writing is important to me, and this blog has survived eleven years, so I’m not going to let it die now. Thank you for sticking with me. Be safe out there.
