A Second Pandemic Birthday

My birthday is coming up again this weekend. Last year, I made cupcakes and brownies to drop off on porches of some of my friends. This year, with vaccines and variants spreading unequally through the community, I’m having a very small group of folk over to my house. First time ever hosting more than family, significant others, or delivery/repair people in my home. And the biggest number of people. Even before the pandemic. The ex-hubby was always the host. I haven’t had more than one person over to just hang out since the split. It’s a little nerve-wracking. Even more so, because I feel like I should invite More people. But pandemic and parking and nervous about folk (see previous post).

I asked him for birthday violence. His live-in partners aren’t so into the violence, and he and I have only done a little rope in the last month, and bits of poking on Monday nights. I’m a big fan of birthday spankings and just plain out overly intense sensations, as you well know, dear readers. So, I invited a couple of my friends who he also plays with and another top who helped me finish my basement play room last fall. He ought to see it fully done, and I want to see him to get out more, aside from work. I think it’ll go well, despite my nerves, and I’ll be nicely bruised up for my physical next week. Fortunately, I’ll have almost two weeks to heal before the pap. My doctor knows, though, so it’s not a big deal either way.

I’ve been trying to get back in shape for playing. I guess we’ll see this weekend if I was successful. Pre-pandemic, I was having trouble with overheating during scenes. Between added weight and approaching middle-age, I have to be more mindful. The basement is cooler, however, by several degrees, from the main floor, so that should help, too. Looking forward to another step towards kink normalcy.
