Cleaning Vinyl/PVC
Hand wash individual pieces with warm water and mild liquid detergent such as Woolite, Ivory or baby shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with cold water. Hang to air dry, turn inside out to finish drying. Silicone spray can be used to polish for extra shine.
Storing Vinyl/PVC
Store in garment bags away from other clothes so that colors do not bleed. Store in cool, dark, dry place to avoid damage.
Top Tips
1) PVC breaks down, releasing ethylene gas which can destroy natural fibers, and cause the piece to bond to a cotton piece.
2) PVC melts at high temperatures – never machine was or dry, keep away from flame.
3) Acetone distorts PVC – keep away from permanent markers, fingernail polish, and polish remover and other organic solvents.
