I’ve come back to this blog, nearly dormant for the last few years, but I haven’t really hit into the writing. I’ve been having fun practice drawing. Focusing on specific moments, and remember the past. We’re nearing the end of the year, and about to head into 2020. Politics are ramping up around the world, and especially here in the states for next year’s election. I write this as the UK just held a general election tonight, as well. Which I won’t even pretend to understand, though by a quick look, less than 1/6 of their elections have been decided so far, so I guess I don’t have to, yet.
I started this blog over a decade ago, to talk about my journey. In poly, in kink, in submission. Pleasure, pain, relationships. Learning, growth, mistakes. I stopped blogging regularly after all my posts became political, and I just couldn’t take the state of things anymore. Not enough to write, create, and do anything but rage at what was/is happening in this country. So, when I came back, I wanted to focus on creativity. I’m learning to draw and relearning how to focus my creative energy all throughout my life.
There is no picture tonight. It’s the holidays, and my boyfriend’s birthday soon. So, I’m busy cleaning and cooking and all those things. But I’ve re-committed to making a post every week, whether it’s a picture, or a prose, or poetry, or just my rambling thoughts. A creative Imp is a much happier Imp. And it 2020, I’m determined to continue building the happy life I want to live.
